Concept Note

​Ayurveda Conversations 2026 is a seven-day symposium built around a simple idea: Ayurveda advances through thoughtful inquiry. Rather than a series of lectures or textual commentaries, it is a structured dialogue that explores the fundamental questions underlying Ayurvedic thought.

​Each day is centred on a single foundational question—from the nature of knowledge and life, to change, stability, disease, treatment, and the future of Ayurveda. These conversations invite clinicians, teachers, researchers, and students to examine core concepts, revisit assumptions, and connect classical principles with contemporary clinical practice.

The symposium is guided by three recurring elements: The One Question, which initiates inquiry; The One Sūtra, which explores a single classical statement in depth; and The One Patient, which concludes each discussion by asking how the day's insights would influence patient care.

Ayurveda Conversations 2026 aims to strengthen conceptual clarity among learners and practitioners, promote scholarly engagement with the classical texts, and foster respectful academic debate. By revisiting the foundational principles of Ayurveda through the lens of Tadvidya Sambhasha, the conference aspires to contribute to the continued evolution of Ayurveda as a rigorous knowledge tradition.
