The IVth International Conference on Ayurveda & Yoga was jointly organized by Punarnava Ayurveda Trust and Ganga Action Parivar ( Rishikesh) on the sacred soil of Prayag, Allahabad near the Triveni Sangam during the Kumbh Mela Celebrations on February 17 & 18, 2013. This was a conference where the emphasis was on the Kumbh mela.

The conference dates, coincided with the Basant Panchami celebrations of Sacred Kumbh, and the Ayurveda community together with the presenters and participants were blessed to take holy dip at the Triveni Sangam during the Mauni Amavasya snan day.
      The conference helped increase awareness about Ayurveda  & wellness and its linkage with traditional Indian Knowledge systems in both the Indian & International Community.

The sessions included the relation between different Indian Knowledge systems like Vedas, Ayurveda, Yoga, Tantra, Jyotisha, Sthapatyaveda, etc. The emphasis was specifically on understanding the context & purpose of Ayurveda and the importance of a truly holistic approach to meet current day health challenges.

The conference concluded, with a promise by the  community of Ayurveda Vaidyas and practitioners,of coming together to promote Ayurveda both in India and also Internationally in a big way, in the coming years.
