Venue

The Conference is “Where it all began…”

The beautiful and powerful city of Rishikesh is situated on the banks of the Holy River Ganga in the foothills of the Himalayas , the birthplace of Ayurveda. It is also one of the most important pilgrimage sites where yogis, sages and sadhus have come for millennia. As Rishikesh is continued home to yoga, it is a destination of choice for those with a desire to delve deeper into the subject.

Parmarth Niketan , the largest ashram in Rishikesh, is the chosen Venue for this International Conference. It is beautifully located on the banks of the Mother Ganges and has been host to many International Conferences.

About Rishikesh

Rishikesh, the holy city in the Himalayas , is located in the district of Dehradun in the north Indian state of Uttaranchal. The name takes the meaning from Rishi (Sage) and Kesh (Mount), meaning the Mountain of Sages ; or the spiritual abode, the home of spirituality. Rishikesh is supposed to be the starting point for the spiritual journey to the four important pilgrimage centers.

Temperature

  • The climate of Rishikesh in the district of Dehradun is generally temperate.
  • The temperature in the month of February is usually between 10 – 20 degrees Celsius.
  • The days are pleasant and warm, while the late evenings get cooler in the Spring-like season of February.
