APPLICATIONS OF VAASTU PRINCIPLES IN HOUSING AND SETTLEMENT DESI

In the last 3 decades I have been experimenting with various applications of Vaastu Shastra and its principles. My background is in design and building of residences, group housing, public buildings and religious buildings. I have also worked extensively in the area of chikitsa vaastu which is the healing aspect of space, form and energy.
Even though my journey on this path began with my introduction into the intricacies of traditional wisdom through my teacher Shri Ganapati Sthapati, I have also been a practitioner of Yoga as well as a qualified behavioural consultant. Therefore I have found it judicious to mix the three streams in my application. As a result I have also found many new ways of intervening in unhealthy or sick environments with vibrant new concepts that have helped many clients in a holistic way. I plan to put together various data sheets with recorded outcomes of experiments spanning over three decades. It is my hope that more such experiments will have to be carried out to help in reviving the power and wisdom of the tradition. I am deeply concerned with the formula based interventions that are rampant in our society in the name of Vaastu. I believe traditional wisdom requires both knowledge and intelligent application. This is what was known as Yukti. |
